The Cairanne vine is firstly a loving encounter that takes root in a cultural and historical context.

The vine-winegrower working relationship is not only based on technical and material parameters, as may be thought, but is also part of the human, emotional and cultural experience.

Which is why at Cairanne no two vines are alike. Their location, their soil, their age and size, the quantity of their harvest, all this and more give them a distinct personality, one that is revealed on tasting.

An original approach: the quality club
For several years now, a group of winegrowers from the Cave felt the need for greater immersion in the field, to further enhance their winegrowing expertise by pooling their work. That's why they regularly select plots with an eye to defining the best size possible, the most suitable treatments, optimal ripening of the grapes in view of bringing to the winery, their winery, the finest harvest possible, factoring in the unpredictabilities of both nature and climate.
It's a new state of mind, the state of mind of a winegrower "gardener of his treasure".
Pruning:
Thomas Rebuffel, winegrower
"It's my favourite time of year. Everything is prepared during winter. Each vine-plant is a new individual. You have to stop, observe, respect the vine and it will give the best of itself."
The harvest:
Daniel Couston, winegrower
"At Cairanne, we want to continue harvesting by hand. That way we can pick and choose, selecting only the finest bunches. I'm proud of the grapes I deliver to the Cave."
Sales:
Jean-Claude Amielh, winegrower
"I'm always proud to show the fruit of our work and to talk about Cairanne, no matter where I am, whether in Cairanne, or elsewhere in France. I make it a point of honour to welcome our customers personally, many of whom have since become friends, people I see often at Cairanne, Paris or elsewhere."
